Message

And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying. This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left. Isaiah 30:21

The word of God is the perfect guide that everyone needs in life. When we reach a point where we need to make a decision that will significantly affect our lives, the word of God gives us the leverage to make the best choices. Whenever you need to make a decision and you place your options beside the word of God, it will shed light on the dark areas, help you to see and understand those options more clearly and then guide you on which is best. Sometimes, the best decision is arrived at from multiple Scriptures which guide you in the process of decision making. Some of the passages that can help you are below:

He that answereth a matter before he heareth it. It is folly and shame unto him. Proverbs 18:13

This passage will help you check if you have all the information you need to make a correct decision. It can save you from making uninformed decisions.

The simple beileveth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going.
Proverbs 14:15

This Scripture above will help you get a second opinion on the information and be sure that both are correct. You can find out what experts or more experienced people in a particular field are saying about the decision you want to make. Proverbs 11:14 says:

Where no counsel Is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.

Thereafter, the word of God will point your attention to your integrity. Proverbs 22:1 says "A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold". Stay away from options that will negatively affect your integrity. The word of God is so rich that there is no aspect of human life that it does not address. Study to show yourself approved unto God (2 Timothy 2:15).

King James Version

Psalm 119:103-105

Psalm 119:103-105
How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth! [104] Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way. [105] Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
RCCG Hymn

Nearer, my God to Thee

  1. Nearer, my God to Thee,,
    Nearer to Thee;
    E'en though it be a cross
    That raiseth me.
    Still all my song shall be.
    Nearer, my God, to Thee, (2ce)
    Nearer to Thee!
  2. Though, like the wanderer,
    The sun gone down.
    Darkness be over me,
    My rest a stone.
    Yet in my dreams I'd be
    Nearer, my God, to Thee, (2ce)
    Nearer to Thee!
  3. There let the way appear
    Steps unto heaven;
    All that Thou send'st to me
    In mercy given;
    Angels to beckon me
    Nearer, my God, to Thee, (2ce)
    Nearer to Thee!
  4. Then with my waking thoughts
    Bright with Thy praise.
    Out of my stony griefs
    Bethel I'll raise;
    So by my woes to be
    Nearer, my God, to Thee, (2ce)
    Nearer to Thee I
  5. Or if on joyful wing
    Cleaving the sky.
    Sun, moon, and stars forgot.
    Upwards I fly,
    Still all my song shall be.
    Nearer, my God, to Thee, (2ce)
    Nearer to Thee!
