Glory be to Jesus

  1. Glory be to Jesus,
    p Who, in bitter pains,
    cr Pour'd for me the Life-blood
    From His sacred veins.
  2. f Grace and life eternal
    In that blood 1 find;
    Blest be His compassion
    Infinitely kind.
  3. f Blest through endless ages
    Be the precious stream.
    Which from endless torments
    Did the worid redeem.
  4. mf Abel's blood for vengeance
    Pleaded to the skies;
    But the blood of Jesus
    f For our pardon cries.
  5. p Oft as it is sprinkled
    On our guilty hearts,
    Satan in confusion
    Terror-struck departs.
  6. f Oft as earth exulting
    Wafts its praise on high.
    Angel-hosts rejoicing.
    Make their glad reply.
  7. f Lift ye then your voices;
    Swell the mighty flood;
    ff Louder still and louder
    Praise the precious blood.
